The Sustainable Development Goals provide a framework for effective steps to resolve the COVID-19 pandemic and its devastating effects on people’s lives that put safe families, stable communities, and a safe world on a path toward recovery.
The SDG Action community through the SDG Action Awards has explored and tested approaches and maps that are capable of being created and applied world-wide and of being placed at the fingertips of world leaders and partners.
Such strategies will place the SDGs on the road to recovery as they battle COVID-19 in the middle of the global discussions. As fresh ideas come forward to unite, empower and put people together every day, this Action Award encourages innovative and transformative projects and approaches either for example before COVID-19 or in response to the ongoing global health crisis.

Both industries have been accepted to apply and recommend UN SDG Action Awards initiatives. Please note however that the SDG Action Award may not be solicited by national governments, UN entities, and UN SDG official partners, but honorable mentions will show their efforts.

Confirmation of Winner
At the United Nations SDG Action Awards Ceremony, the winning proposals are widely celebrated throughout the entire year in order to encourage the rising global SDG Action Movement for accelerated change for people and the environment.
The UN SDG initiative is dedicated to ensuring the sectoral and geographic diversity within its applicants’ pool is reflected by candidate candidates and winners.
For each of the three criteria for a maximum total score of 30 points, each entry shall be scored on a scale 0-10:

- Mobilize Numerous individuals and organizations, which build coalitions across communities and societies, take action in order to achieve the goals.
- Approach people adjust attitudes and strategies to accomplish goals; and at the same time uphold the ideals of unity and hope.
- Scalability/Replicability Partner to advance on the goals and promote communication and trust at all levels between individuals and institutions.

Please register and fill in every portion of the application form to apply a proposal or initiative for the award. Each time you return, you can save and update your application before the completed form is submitted. The best submissions should include consistent facts, including photographs and videos, and applicant endorsements.
Nominations for “The Solidarity in Action Award”
The Solidarity in Action Award recognizes humanity’s most meaningful and successful efforts that enrich the lives of others, promote resilience and ignite hope in the continuing global crisis for health. Appointments can be made from local heroes to reports from around the country, all over the globe.
