Skills required

Poverty and Food Security Analyst would have the following qualification and work experience;
• A Master’s degree with five years of relevant experience in Economics Statistics and Agricultural Economics.
• Proficient user of MS Office and of the statistical analysis software STATA
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Professional Competencies
• Ability to exhibit strong commitment in the relevant disciplines
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and working knowledge one of the national languages i.e. Dari or Pashto
• Ability to work with and be a partner of a team of diverse backgrounds
• Ability to work efficiently and to meet deadlines
• Ability to function effectively in a team environment inspiring trust and cooperation of other team members
• Strong communication negotiating skills and good interpersonal relations.


Duties and responsibilities

• Preparing work plan in accordance with the general plan of the National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) in order to achieve the goals, set by the NSIA
• Implementing policies and programs to achieve the goals and objectives of the NSIA
• Analysis of poverty and food security section and household income and expenditure analysis
• Analysis of relevant indicators of sustainable development goals (goals one and two)
• Ensuring the accuracy and precision of the analyzed data of poverty and food security
• Ensuring the quality of the collected data before publication
• Designing and developing standard questionnaires for the sake of precise and relevant data collection
• Completion and filling of questionnaires of national and international organizations in order to provide accurate information
• Performing other duties and tasks assigned by the top management in accordance with the laws and regulations of the organization
