Free Scholarships for the Afghans Student American University of Central Asia in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan

The U.S. government-funded scholarship is a collaboration between the Kabul U.S. Embassy in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan American University of Central Asia.

The scholarship will cover one-time travel from home to host university every academic year, fees, basic medical care, accommodation and meal stipend for students during all four years of study at AUCA, and a one-year preparatory program at the New Generation Academy of AUCA.

The scholarship will fund through graduation a full AUCA Bachelor’s degree and will start in the fall of 2019.

AUCA is a university that is accredited in Kyrgyz according to the American model of a liberal English curriculum.

AUCA is the first college in Central Asia, in collaboration with Bard College in the United States, to hold American qualified students from Liberal Arts Programmes.

Who is eligible for Scholarship

  • Citizens of Afghanistan when applying and during the process of selection
  • The person who is awarded a high school diploma on the application
  • New college of students currently in their first year of studies
  • Expert in written and spoken English when asking
  • Will demonstrate academic excellence, professional skills, and capacity for leadership
  • The university program started in September 2019 and after completion of the program, they committed to returning to Afghanistan to contribute to its growth.
